Learn more40 yard roll-off
The largest container we run, and a specialist tool. Eight feet of side wall, twelve pickup truck loads of volume, and the wrong choice for anything heavy or for most residential blocks.

Specifications
22 ft long × 8 ft wide × 8 ft high
40 cubic yards — about 12 pickup truck loads
5–6 tons in the flat rate
About 25 ft long × 10 ft wide, plus door swing
Is this the one?
The 40 yard exists for one situation: a large quantity of light material with somewhere flat, open and reachable to put the box. Commercial fit-outs, warehouse and light-industrial clear-outs, packaging and shelving, large framing and siding tear-offs, and multi-building property clearances are where it earns its keep — the kind of jobs still found on Long Island City's older industrial blocks, where loading docks and open yards sit a few streets from the newer residential towers.
It is not a residential container in any normal sense. The footprint is the same 22 feet as a 30 but the walls are two feet taller, which makes hand-loading over the rail genuinely hard work, and on most Queens blocks there simply is not a legal, level spot to leave one for a week. If your placement is a narrow street, a tight courtyard or anywhere alternate-side parking runs, tell us before you book a 40 — a 30 delivered twice is very often the faster, cheaper, and more realistic plan.
Straight advice: Only take a 40 if the material is genuinely light and the placement is open, level and reachable. For almost every residential job in Queens, and for anything with weight in it, a 30 or a 20 will serve you better, cost less, and actually fit on the block.
Compare
Same flat pricing model across all five. The only question is which weight allowance matches your material — and, on the bigger sizes, whether it fits your block.

About 22 ft long by 8 ft wide by 8 ft high — the tallest container we run, and it needs a genuinely open, level, reachable spot to sit for the length of the job.
Rarely comfortably. Most residential streets in Queens are too tight, too parked-up, or too governed by alternate-side rules for a container this size to sit for a full rental period. It works well on open lots, loading docks and commercial or light-industrial sites — the kind still found around Long Island City's older industrial blocks — but for most homes a 30 or two 20s is the more realistic call.
About 12 pickup truck loads, with 5–6 tons included. That volume only pays off with genuinely light material — dense debris will hit the weight allowance long before the box looks full.
If it sits on private property such as a lot or loading area, no. If it needs the street, yes — we pull the NYC DOT placement permit before delivery, and for a container this size we will walk the exact spot with you first to confirm it actually clears.
Delivery, the standard rental period, pickup, disposal and the stated weight allowance, all in one flat number. Extensions are available with a call if the job runs long.
