Learn moreAstoria, New York · Queens County
Astoria sits at the northwest tip of Queens along the East River, just across the water from our Long Island City yard -- a neighborhood built on Greek-American heritage that has grown into one of the most diverse commercial strips in the borough.

Astoria Park and its WPA-era public pool sit right along the river under the shadow of the Hell Gate rail bridge and the RFK Bridge, and Steinway Street still carries the name of the piano factory that has operated in the neighborhood for well over a century. Kaufman Astoria Studios and the Museum of the Moving Image keep a real film and TV production history alive here, and the mix of Greek, Middle Eastern, Balkan and Latin American businesses along Broadway and Ditmars Boulevard makes this one of the most walkable, densest commercial corridors we serve.
We handle a lot of apartment and building-unit turnover here, plus gut renovations in the pre-war walk-ups and rowhouses packed along the side streets between Broadway and the river. Studio and production-space cleanouts tied to Kaufman Astoria and the surrounding creative businesses come through regularly too, alongside standard remodel and roofing debris on the neighborhood's low-rise blocks.

Astoria is one of the closest neighborhoods to our yard -- a short run up 21st Street or Vernon Boulevard, or via the Grand Central Parkway on the eastern edge of the neighborhood, gets a truck there in minutes.

Answers
Same-day is realistic almost any weekday -- Astoria sits just across the water from our Long Island City yard, so it's one of the shortest runs we make.
Yes -- we place containers on Astoria's tighter blocks all the time. We size the box to the space and the load, and if curb placement is the only option we'll walk you through what that means for permitting before the truck shows up.
Not if it sits entirely on private property. Curb or street placement needs a temporary NYC DOT permit, requested through NYC311 (service code KA-02700) and usually pulled through a registered carting company rather than directly by a homeowner. Call us and we'll help sort out whether your Astoria job needs one.
No -- Astoria gets the same flat-rate pricing we quote anywhere in our service area, with no hidden fees added for the short trip.
