Learn moreSunnyside, New York · Queens County
Sunnyside sits immediately east of Long Island City, close enough to our own yard that many residents consider it part of the same stretch -- a neighborhood best known for the planned garden-apartment community that gave it its name.

Sunnyside Gardens, laid out in the 1920s as one of the country's earliest planned garden-apartment communities, still anchors the neighborhood's identity with its shared courtyards and low brick buildings. The elevated 7 train runs the length of Queens Boulevard overhead, and a genuinely mixed community -- Irish, Turkish, Romanian, Korean and Latin American families among others -- fills the semi-attached rowhouses and apartment buildings between the tracks and Sunnyside Yard, the large rail yard that borders the neighborhood's northern edge.
Given how close Sunnyside sits to our own yard, we run a lot of fast-turnaround apartment cleanouts and small remodel jobs here, plus renovation debris out of the Sunnyside Gardens courtyard buildings and the rowhouses nearby. Storefront cleanouts along Queens Boulevard and Skillman Avenue are a regular part of the mix as well.

Sunnyside borders Long Island City directly -- a short trip along Queens Boulevard or Skillman Avenue from our yard covers the whole neighborhood.

Very fast -- Sunnyside borders our Long Island City yard directly, so same-day delivery is realistic almost any weekday.
Usually the container sits on the street in front rather than in the shared courtyards themselves, and we're used to working around that layout. Tell us which block you're on and we'll tell you exactly where the box will sit.
Not if it sits entirely on private property. Curb or street placement needs a temporary NYC DOT permit, requested through NYC311 (service code KA-02700) and usually pulled through a registered carting company rather than directly by a homeowner. Call us and we'll help sort out whether your Sunnyside job needs one.
No -- Sunnyside gets the same flat-rate pricing as everywhere else in our service area.
